1.What stragedies were needed?

-You can use ratio tables, clock, money and a double number line

2.How did you use these stragedies?

-I could use the ratio table along with a some division and multiplication

but i didn't use clock, money, money and number line stragedy

3.or How could you use these stragedies

-I stick with the ratio tables because it was the first thing i did. I think ratio table is easy

4.How would you figure out the price of a 6 cup bag of Betty's snack mix? use a ratio table

-The way i got the price of 6 is by dividing 12 by 6

5.Find 3 other values (Amounts of Snack Mix) that could be solved using the same ratio table. Find the $$ of your new container sizes.

chris`s 2nd Growing Post

Question 1

1. What strategies needed?
The strategy I used was multiplication, division, and ratio tables when I fixed my work.

2. and 3.

4.

5. Find 3 other values (amounts of Snack Mix) that could be solved using the same ratio table. Find the $$ of your new container sizes.

Question 2
1. 2/3 + 1/4 + 2/5 =
for question 1 i would use clocks. 2/3 in clocks 20 min, 1/4 in clocks 15 min, and 2/5 in clocks is 24 min. now i add 20+15+24=59 min.

2. 6/5 - 11/10=
For question 2 i would use money. 5/5 in money is 100 cents i added another 20 cents because it would be 6/5. 10/10 in money is 100 cents I added another 10 cents so it can be 11/10 so now 11/10 is 110 cents and 6/5 is 120. Now I add 110+120=230 or in money 4 dollars and 50 cents.

3. 3/5 + 2/7 =
for question 3 it is the double number line below

4. 1/6/+1/9 =
i did nothing

5. 5/6 - 1/4 =
For question 5 I would use clocks. 5/6 is 50 min because 1/6 is 10 min. 1/4 is 15 min so now I add 10+50=60 witch is 1 hour.

6. 3 3/5 - 1 4/5 =
For question 6 I would use money because 3 wholes is is three dollars and 1 whole is one dollar. 3/5 is 60 cents and 4/5 is 80 cents. So now i add 60+80=140 in money that is 2 dollars and 20 cent and now add 1+3+2=5 dollars so now it equals 5 dollars and 20 cents.

David's 2nd Growing Post

Question One:

1. What strategies were needed?
- I just used a large ratio table for this test, but im sure you could use more.

2. How did you use these strategies?
- With a ratio table, whatever you did to one side of it, you had to do to the other to keep it equal. So i put the total amount of the package, shreddies, pretzels, and peanuts, and tried to get the total amount to the correct total. Finding the unit fraction or getting the nuimber to 1 would be a pretty good place to start because once you have 1, you can do anyhting to it and find out easily like 1 x 29348579038570980975279 = 29348579038570980975279.

3. Or How could you have used these strategies.
- Like i said before you could have used more, but i took the easy path and just made a ratio table to answer it. Also because im not so sure about how to do it with clocks, money, or a double numberline. The numbers they gave us weren't that friendly for clocks, or money, and a double numberline gets confusing for this type of question. Its possible but requires to much thinking so i used the plain old ratio table.

4. How would you figure out the price of a 6 cup bag of Betty's Snack Mix?
Use a ratio table.

-As you can see from that ratio table, I put down was 12 was first since I already knew from what i did on the test. Then i divided 12 by 2 to get 6 cups of snack mix and divided the $18 i have over there by 2 also to keep it equivalent.

5. Find 3 other values (amounts of Snack Mix) that could be solved using the same ratio table. Find the $$ of your new container sizes.

A new size would be 18, and i got that by adding the 6 cups and 12 cups i had on that chart. Another one would be 24 which i got by multiplying 12 by 2. And the third would be 3 which i got by dividing 6 cups by 2.

Question 1
1. What strategies were needed?
- You could of used Ratio Tables, Clocks, Money and a Double Number Line.

2. How did you use these strategies?
- Well I only used the ratio table strategy along with some division and multiplication but I didn't really use the clock, money and number line strategy.

3. Or How could you of used these strategies
- I could of used the Number Line strategy seeing as it would make more sense than using clocks and money because some of the numbers wouldn't go into it so I could of used the Number Line strategy but I probably wasn't thinking of using it because ratio tables were pretty good for answering most of these questions.

4. How would you figure out the price of a 6 cup bag of Betty's Snack mix? Use a ratio table.

Just want to say one thing before people mark mine: Why does every keep thinking the math work is out of 49? It's out of 54 people. 15+15+10+14=54. So that would make it out of 105 and not 100.
