1/12 +1/6= 40/60 min
I divided 60 by 2 and got 30. 60 = the whole which is how many minutes in a clock. Then i divided60 by 6 and got 10. So 30+10= 40 mins.Altogether that =40 min/60min.

1/4 + 7/12 = 50 min/60 min
I divided 60 by 4 and got 15. Again 60= the whole which is how many minutes on a clock. then i divided 60 by 12 and got 5 mins since the question is 7/12, 5x7= 35 min. So 15 +35=50 min/60 mins

Therefore 1/4 + 7/12 is bigger by 10 mins



Bike race:

For every 12th I divided it by 60 and it= 5. For the 6th I divided it by 60 and it= 10. For the 3rd i divided it by 60 and it = 20. So on the 10 km, 20 km, 30 km, 40 km, 50 km, and 60 km there was more than one marker.


1/4 of 16 divided into 4 = 4.
3/4 of 16 divided by 4 into 3 multiply the answer by 1/4 = 12

I thought this website was really fun because it showed fractions by using pizza. It was simple and for all ages. For e.g if you had 6 pieces of a pizza how much is left if one piece is missing? The answer is 5/6.

1/2 + 1/4 < 1/3 + 3/6

If you divide 60 by 2 it = 30 min. We divide it by 60 because that is the whole. Also because there is 60 minutes in a clock. Then I divided 60 by 4 and it = 15 minutes.
Add them all together and it = 45 minutes out of 60 minutes.
Then I divided 60 by 3 and it = 20 min. Again we divided it by 60 because it is the whole and a clock equals 60 minutes. Then I divided 60 by 6 and it = 10 minutes. I added them all together and it = 50 minutes out of 60 minutes.

1/3 + 3/6 is bigger by 5 minutes.
