Kenny's First Growing Post

1/2 of 60 is 30 mins because 60 divided by 2 is 30.

1/6 of 60 is 10 , if you divide 60 by 6 it will equal 10. You can also cut 60 into 6 equal pieces , same thing as dividing it by 6.
30+20=40

A fourth 1/4 of 60 is 15 mins because , if you cut it into four equal pieces each piece will be 15 mins.
60 divided by 12 is 5 , then you multiply that by 7 which equals to 35 mins. So 7/12 of 60 is 35.

35+15=50

1/4 + 7/12 is larger

Kenny 's Bikerace

So the race is 60km's long and we needed to find out every 12th , 6th and 3rd of the course because those were the km markers.
I got 12th of the race by dividing 60 into 12 which equals 5, so there is a km marker on every 5 km in the race. For 6th i divided 60 into it and it gave me 10, so theres another km marker on every 10km. Finally we needed to find a third of 60 , i did the same thing for all of them. Divide 60 into 3 and it is 20. So theres a km marker on every 5 , 10 , 20 km.
Pattern:
The pattern is everytime the divisor is halved like 12, 6, 3. The answer will be doubled
like 5, 10 , 20
FRACTION GAME!
I thought this game was kind of fun because it was very easy and i knew all the answers. I also liked that it was pizza because it made me hungry after. You have to find how many pizza slices is gone , and you have to find it using fractions. This game is really cool!
Two Ways (2)
The way you can find 1/4 of a number is to cut it into 4 pieces (divide). (Ex. 22 divided by 4 is 5.5)
To find out 3/4 of a number is you do the same thing as the one before . Dividing it by 1/4 , but this time you have to times it by 3 because you need 3/4.(Ex. 22 divided by 4 is 5.5 , then you multiply that by 3)
Which Fraction is bigger?
The Fraction question is ... Which fraction is bigger? 1/2 + 1/4 or 1/5 + 1/6?
To get the answer im going to use the clock because im too lazy to do those other stuff.
1/2 is 30 mins on the clock , we know that because half of 60 is 30. 1/4 is 15 mins on the clock because if you divide the clock into 4 equal pieces , each piece will equal 15mins. So 30 + 15 =45
1/5 on the clock is 12 mins . You can get 12 mins by dividing 60 by 5, and 1/6 is 10 mins because 60 divided by 6 is 10. So its 10 + 12 = 22
1/2 + 1/4 is bigger then 1/5 + 1/6 .
